Family Ties

Did you know that family businesses account for over 70 per cent of all business in Australia, and employ around half of the country’s workforce? And according to studies, a family business’ average long-term financial performance is higher compared to non-family businesses. Essentially, they are the lifeblood of communities, and a key factor in Australia’s productivity and economic outlook.

There is a popular business quote that reads, “Behind the success of every small business, there is a family”. And that is certainly the case here at Premis. Our team consists of not one, not two, not three but four family groups, all who work in some capacity in the business. We truly believe these strong family ties have greatly contributed to the stability, success and culture of our company.

So how does the Premis Family Tree work?

Our 1st family – The Awyzio’s

Tim Awyzio is our Managing Director and a Partner, and three of his children work within the business. Brittney is a Graphic Designer who looks after everything creative, Nathan our resident Contract Administrator and Lily has recently joined the company as a Building Cadet and is currently completing her degree in Construction Management – they are such a focused and dedicated family unit!

Our 2nd family – The Stringfellow’s

Brad is our Director of Finance and a Partner in the business. his daughter, Mikaela, followed in her father’s footsteps as soon as she left high school, and is now Premis’ Finance Administration Assistant. The great thing about these two is their sense of humour – they certainly keep us amused.

Our 3rd family – The Peereboom’s

Imco has been with the company since its inception in 2006 and is an Estimator and Partner. His son, Ryan, started as a builder with Premis in 2010, and has since worked his way up to become a Site Manager.

Our 4th family – The Casey’s

Dean has been with Premis for 15 years, beginning his time with us as a Project Manager. In 2012, he took on the role of company Safety Advisor and has also recently became responsible for Environmental and Quality Management. His son, Connor, started with Premis two years ago as a Building Cadet, and is currently completing a degree in Construction Management. Dean has four children so stay tuned, we may just end up with another ‘Casey’ on board!

These four amazing fathers are so proud of and thankful for each of their children’s unique talents and tenancity, and feel privileged to be inspiring ingenuity into the next generation.
