Premis was contracted by QBuild to deliver a workplace fitout for the Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs at Beenleigh.
Following a partial makegood completed by the Landlord, we completed a full fit-out of a cold shell space. The project included the installation of furniture, bespoke lighting, custom joinery, ceilings, and floors.
Additionally, the fit-out required the installation of electrical services from the mains distribution board, hydraulic amendments, fire alarm relocation, and mechanical services to provide supplementary air-conditioning in meeting rooms.
The new 1420 sqm fitout as provided a functional and modern space for some 140 staff, and now features:
- New reception area with tea and coffee station
- Large modern full-service kitchen and staff room
- 140 individual lockers
- 4 breakout/collab spaces with acoustic paneling
- 5 offices
- 5 meeting rooms of various sizes
- 5 separate areas of open plan office space
- 3 utility rooms
- New communications room housing data rack systems and security systems
- Storage and large compactus
Premis needed to penetrate the tenancy below to make hydraulic amendments, which required core drilling and fire rating penetrations.
The fit-out also included the installation of acoustic panels in meeting rooms and around collab spaces to diffuse sound and add aesthetic value.
