Studies indicate that building owners and tenants can expect significant benefits from including end-of-trip facilities. This can include a healthier workforce, increased staff well-being, higher productivity, an improved corporate image, and reduced demand for car parking.
This conversion of a basement carpark, at 133 Mary Street, resulted in a brand new 350m2 End of Trip facility. The facility provides 170 bike racks and lockers with integrated seating, and features 10 showers, 3 toilets and 1 PWD shower/toilet -with the facility being fully air-conditioned.
The space required extensive drainage, upgrades to lighting system and fire services. The bike storage area features a two-pack epoxy coating floor as well as automatic swipe access security auto-doors. The project was completed on time, within the client’s budget and was described as ‘one of the best-run projects he has been involved in.
