This project involved the refurbishment of 60 rooms plus,
- Construction of a new hairdressing room adjacent to the main entry
- Extension of the main entry waiting area to form a new café with external terrace area
- Relocation of the laundry folding area and creation of a new office
- Construction of pergolas
- Alterations to the Dementia unit staff base lounge, dining rooms and servery
- Alterations to the former hairdressing room, and
- Painting, new flooring and modifications to existing services
Due to the nature of the works, construction was staged to minimise disruption to residents and staff. Some of the work was also conducted outside of normal business hours to again minimise disruption.
