Robina Hospital – RMID Refurbishment

  • Budget

    $1.1M

  • Project Size

    350sqm

  • Timeline

    29 weeks

This project involved a full redesign of the Medical Imaging at Robina Hospital on the Gold Coast. The project was delivered in three stages to allow for the hospital to continue operations.

Stage One involved the fit-out of the facility’s new Patient Holding Area, which included the installation of new cannulation chairs. Stage Two involved the installation of the CT Scanner.

The new machine is a state-of-the-art Siemens scanner at the forefront of technology and is capable of processing up to 256 repetitions and producing 3D images. The new scanner is also compact enough to occupy the small spatial footprint available.

The third and final stage of the project included the upgrade of the X-Ray and Mammography areas ready for new machinery. All stages navigated the challenges imposed by a live environment. Its completion has resulted in a facility that is both in line with modern technology and expectations and enables Robina Hospital to provide for current and future demands in radiology.
